About: The capital of independent state Latvia, Riga is located on the Baltic Sea at the southern coast of the Gulf of Riga. Daugava River is crossing the city. It is moderately warm and humid in summer. City has a historical center which is located 10km(6 miles) from where Daugava flows into the Gulf of Riga. It has a distinctly northern architecture - typical to the Northern European states. You may feel German and Swiss influence everywhere, not surprisingly though, as city has a large german population. Go there to meet wonderful northern-type women. Recommended.
